The Philosophy Behind the Soundscape
There is a point, looking across the prairie, where land and sky become one line. Mountains work the same way. Up close…

Eight songs from the edge — melodic, restless, human, and a little difficult to keep inside the lines.
The Jagged Perimeter is a map with the certainty taken out of it: the mountain line against the sky, the prairie horizon where distance turns two things into one, the border that looks sharp up close and almost disappears from forty thousand feet.
The music lives in that same open space. Melody and rhythm matter. So do atmosphere, silence, accident, tension, joy and the freedom to follow an idea farther than expected. Rock is part of the language, but not the fence around it.
Music, art and culture are some of the tools we have for making sense of being here. They let us ask better questions, share a little hope, pass something human between strangers, and stay curious about what else might be possible.

The Jagged Perimeter leans progressive because curiosity usually wins. But progressive rock is a direction, not a set of walls. A song might arrive through a bass groove, a guitar part, a vocal line, percussion, piano, saxophone, electronics, or a sound that does not have a useful name yet. The point is not to prove how many things can fit into a track. It is to follow the idea far enough to find out what it actually wants to become.
None of us lives in one mood, one influence or one version of ourselves, so the music should not have to either. There is room here for something loud and restless beside something spacious and almost weightless; for precision beside looseness; for a hook you can sing on the first listen and a detail you only notice on the tenth. Those are not departures from the sound. Together, they are the sound.
Electric Ghost is the first album to map some of that territory, but it is not a fence around what comes next. The perimeter is meant to stay open: a place where rock, rhythm, atmosphere, technology, melody, humour, memory and whatever else inspires the next song can meet without having to flatten themselves into a single genre.
Ideas, songs, sounds and the occasional useful distraction.
